I have had three implants in my bottom set of teeth. The procedure to have three implants was an initial check by my dentist Amit, followed by an x-ray of the bone structure at Ashford Hospital to assess bone density. This was followed by a viability assessment carried out by Amit.

Verbal advice was given by the surgeon on options available followed by a written evaluation. Amit then prepared a financial breakdown of the costs of the procedure for me to consider. After deciding on treatment I had the three titanium implants set in the bone by the surgeon.

Three months later the surgeon located the implants, tested their robustness and covered these with small metal caps. A few weeks later an impression of the bottom teeth was made for the crowns which were subsequently fitted. A follow up inspection of the teeth was carried out a month later.

Throughout the whole procedure Amit were very professional and showed considerable sensitivity and care in their work.

I had a local anaesthetic, each step fully explained with just minor discomfort and no complications. I am very pleased with both the service provided, and my replacement tooth.

From the initial discussions with Amit and his colleagues, everything was always explained in full to me regarding the possible treatments and options available. The options were meticulously followed up on and initially detailed in writing, and any questions I had, were fully answered and the alternatives explained. Once my course of treatment had been decided upon, the service I received was first class.

.... Almost inevitably some of the treatment was painful, but if this occurred whilst I was in the dentist's chair, it was always momentarily stopped for recovery to occur and alternative treatments offered where possible. In addition, advice and treatments for possible pain after visits were always also fully explained.

The professional and respectful way I was treated throughout, made the experience as pleasant as possible, and back up advice was always provided if needed. I am very pleased with the results and would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Dodia and his team to anyone thinking of having an implant.

I must tell you of my delight in my 'new teeth', they have far exceeded my expectation. Most people when invited to inspect have asked what were they looking at as they could not identify them as they matched my own so perfectly. The whole procedure went very smoothly if (by necessity) slowly. With local anaesthesia I only experienced minor discomfort during the surgery though I did need paracetamol for a few days after the implant was sited. I would have no hesitation in having further implants, cash being the only limiting factor.
